Extended Bio for Genna
Orange County, CA
I am 21 years old, born and raised in the beautiful, legendary Orange County CALIFORNIA in which I currently reside. My life has truly been a rollercoaster ride with many ups and downs, twists and turns, dips and peaks which I have had to overcome, yet it has all made me the person I am today.
In my younger years I started my modeling career by being a Nordstrom Kids runway model. As I got older, I developed a photogenic sense because my family was always taking pictures of me. I began putting on my own performances for my family and friends, making my own movies, singing and acting in school musicals and church performances. At my physical, the doctors said that I was done growing - at 5'0" tall, therefore I was not tall enough to model the Junior's line for Nordstrom. This was what I thought the end of my modeling career.
When I got into Jr. high, I was in choir and traveled to many places - including retirement homes - to sing to people. I loved it, I loved performing. However - there was a crossroads when sport season came up. My mom said I had to either try out for cheerleading which counted as three seasons of sports - or do three different sports. I was terrified of both. I did volleyball, which I loved, but then basketball was just NOT my thing. SO, I quit basketball and gave cheerleading a try. At much my surprise, I loved it and continued on with it through highschool, along with musical theatre, and choir, as well as developing an artistic sense when I started doing hair and makeup for the whole cheerleading squad on the long bus rides to our games.
Being in front of a crowd and in so many pictures brought out my photogenic side, which then intrigued me to model again. At first my friends and I would just dress up in crazy outfits and take pictures of each other hahaha. Then my boyfriend started up a clothing company for his senior project and needed a model for the girls' portion of the catalog. This sparked my interest in fashion, which led me to pursue my first job in sales at a teen clothing store. That year, I decided to graduate high school as a Junior and go to college to get my career going early.
However, that summer my life came to a mountain I never thought I'd be able to climb; my dad unexpectedly died of a heart attack in the middle of the night. This changed my life both financially, emotionally and mentally. I thought my life was over, and I lost MUCH of my self-confidence. Two days after that, I started college - which took my mind off of it some, yet the stress of school, work and my family problems drained me.
My boyfriend had gotten a new car over the summer, and started getting after-market parts for it. He then decided to build it to be a show car. I attended my first car show which was a VIP Autofashion / Hot Import Nights Event. Everyone started taking pictures of me next to his car and then people started asking me to pose for their motorcycles. I guess you could say my interest in car events went up from there. Ever since then I have attended as many car shows and events as I can get my hands on, and have been featured on many car and tuner sites, as well as pictured in car magazines where you've most likely seen me. The clothing company that I still work for now has me modeling for their posters, website and flyers.
My modeling career seems to be skyrocketing now! So many opportunities are springing up everywhere around me. I have gained a passion for modeling and new confidence in myself that has turned my life around. I hope within the next few years that I can finish my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Entrepreneurship and start a modeling agency. In the meantime, I hope to keep filling my life with as many opportunities as possible and seize every moment like it's my last. Gracing the covers of car magazines is my ultimate goal; however I would love to also be the on-set makeup and hair girl for models too. I might even start gogo dancing as well to keep myself in shape! Hahaha.
As you can see, my life is packed with opportunities and I am open for any more that come my way. I'd like to thank my boyfriend, Mike for being my constant supporter, photographer, manager, website designer, publicist, and best friend. I also thank my amazing friends, fans and family whom without their constant advice and support, I would be nothing. To all the people in the industry I have met and will meet - I thank you for giving me a second chance at
